Meh. Every dish was unbalanced, lacked savoriness, and was overly sweet. The meat didn’t taste fresh and tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a couple of days. The fried crispy milk had a really thick batter. Almost every item we wanted wasn’t available. They didn’t have the Peking duck, chicken fish maw soup, or pineapple beer, which are literally some of their most popular items. It was a random Tuesday night at 6:20 PM, so it’s not like they ran out because the restaurant was packed. They also never told us the pineapple beer was unavailable until halfway through the meal. I ordered the eggplant, and the default version is supposed to come with minced pork in the sauce, but I was served the vegan version without any notice or clarification. Food was below mid, and the service was also meh

Really enjoyed our meal here. Everything we ordered was delicious, ingredients were fresh. My favorite dishes were the shrimp and the crab roe rice. Both were packed with flavor. The menu has a lot of great options, so it was hard to choose. The restaurant is beautiful inside, with a nice atmosphere that’s perfect for catching up with friends or having a family dinner. The service was friendly and everything came out pretty quickly.

This was my second visit to Jingnan after trying their Fort Lee location, and I was excited to explore some new dishes. We ordered the string beans, pork soup dumplings, seafood fried rice, and a beef dish—and honestly, the food was incredible. Everything was easily 10/10. My wife even said it might be the best Chinese food she’s had in the U.S. The restaurant is also BYOB, which is a great bonus, and there’s a liquor store right nearby. As for the service, there were a few small hiccups during our visit. The timing of the dishes was a bit unexpected (the soup dumplings came out last), and we had to remind the staff about a soft drink. We had also ordered a side of rice that never came during the meal. At the time of payment, I didn’t realize we had been charged for the rice until I checked the detailed receipt afterward. That said, the restaurant later reached out, acknowledged the mistake, and promptly took care of it, which I really appreciated. It showed that they genuinely care about their customers and stand behind their service. Overall, while there were a few service missteps, the food here is truly outstanding, and the way they handled the situation afterward left a po

Flavors that will surprise as well as satisfy! Lotus root appetizer was not what we expected but was delightfully delicious--a tad bit sweet. Cumin lamb and Peking duck were delicious. Definitely try one of their flavored teas, and if you'd like something stronger, BYO. Service is A+ too.

We've been at Jiangnan NJC a few times and we've greatly enjoyed every visit! The combination of fantastic hospitality, exceptionally efficient service, fantastic food, and a perfect ambience. The Cumin Lamb is very well presented and delightfully flavorful, the Kung Pao Chicken with pieces of Bamboo shoots was a unique take, and the Chicken and Mushroom dumplings are tasty and wonderfully soupy. We found the Crispy Shrimp with honey walnuts to be novel but a bit too sweet for our liking. The Creme Brulee was tasty and a bit different (not like what we've had before elsewhere). The maitre d at this location is particularly amazing and her ability to manage the demand on a Friday evening with a smile was admirable. Highly recommend!
